The 56-year-old keen sailor and PBO subscriber was quickly swept away from his Morgan Giles 30 yacht Vagabond amid choppy seas and increasing winds. Errislannan, owned by ocean Yachtmaster Agnieszka Schramm-Newth – known as Agi – was dismasted off La Coruña last October. Once safely back in port, Agi called the Sigma 38 Class Association, the only source of the One Design masts through suppliers Allspars. Rather than having the mast delivered to La Coruña, Agi opted to sail under jury rig to the mast in Cowes.
